About Me

Hey there! I’m Kara, nice to meet you! At the young age of 12, I became a certified scuba diver while living in Colorado. Can you believe it? I even worked at a dive shop there, helping people find the perfect mask and booking certification courses. Trust me, finding the right mask was a struggle for me too!


Once I discovered the perfect mask that made me feel comfortable and confident underwater, I knew I was hooked. I worked my way up from an Open Water diver to a Divemaster, all while still in Colorado. But then, I felt the need for a change of scenery. I found an amazing internship opportunity in Tortola, BVI and spent the summer of 2007 working as a divemaster there. It was absolutely incredible! After a short trip back home, I hopped on a plane again and completed my instructor development course in Curacao. But I soon realized that I couldn’t stay away from palm trees for too long.


That’s when I made the move to Key Largo, Florida to pursue my passion for scuba diving. And here I am, still enjoying every moment of being in a location where I have easy access to the underwater world! I had some amazing opportunities in the professional diving world, but I decided that diving for fun was more my style. So, I became the “director of happiness” at a fantastic dive shop in Key Largo. While working there, I even earned my TDI Trimix certification and had my deepest dive at 218 feet. It was a dream come true to see sawfish and a school of scalloped hammerheads, just like my colleagues always talked about!


I have more than just one passion, and scuba diving is just the beginning. I’m also deeply interested in fitness and wellbeing. In 2017, I took a significant step towards transforming my love for exercise and wellness into a profession. I started working at a local wellness center situated within the hospital. Initially, I served as a membership coordinator, but over the years, I’ve made progress in my fitness career and eventually became an ACSM certified personal trainer. Eventually, I made the decision to establish my own small personal training business right here in Key Largo. Since 2020, I’ve been providing in-home and virtual personal training services in the upper keys. Just last year, I even obtained a license as a massage therapist and rebranded my business as Reps and Relax!


I’m absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to combine both of my passions and assist fellow scuba diving enthusiasts in maintaining their health and fitness, enabling them to continue diving for as long as possible!

Is this program completely online?

Absolutely! All communication with your coach will be done through the in-app messaging center. This is where you’ll find your weekly check-ins and can ask any questions you have throughout the program.

Does the app support both iPhone and Android?

Definitely! Once you sign up, we’ll provide you with the links to download the app for both iPhone and Android devices.

What if I struggle with navigating the app and understanding how the workouts and tracking function?

No need to worry! The in-app message center will be your go-to for direct communication with your coach. Feel free to ask any questions, and we’ll guide you step by step on how to use the app. We can even arrange a Zoom call to ensure you’re confident in using it.

Can I continue using the app after the 12-week program?

Absolutely! Once you complete the 12-week program, you’ll have the option to join a monthly membership. With the monthly membership, you’ll receive new workouts every month to further enhance and maintain your strength and stamina for scuba diving.

What if I have previous injuries that limit my exercise ability?

Sure thing! I understand that previous injuries can affect your exercise ability. But don’t worry, I’ve worked with numerous clients who have had similar concerns. Rest assured, I will tailor your exercise program to accommodate your limitations and ensure that you feel at ease while doing them. It may take some trial and error, but with open and honest communication, we’ll find a program that suits your body’s comfort level.
